State of the Art

Aurora has custom-designed and developed state-of-the-art solutions for some of the most sophisticated systems on earth. As just a few examples, our leading-edge research has produced extreme high temperature pressure sensors for NASA and the US Air Force that operate accurately above 600°C, single mode connectors and feedthroughs that conduct light without excess loss at the bottom of the ocean (over 10,000 psid) for the US Navy, and fully-automatic fusion splicers so small they can be carried in a pocket yet splice fibers on the F-16 fighter jet airplane in the field.
